Friday, March 16, 2011  -  Rally 0900
Patriot Guard!
Earlier in 2011, the 1st Battalion, 175th Infantry Regiment, MDARNG, based in Glen Burnie, MD, was deployed to Egypt. This Friday the second wave of the Battalion is returning home.
We welcomed home the first wave and we have been invited to participate in the welcome home for these remaining outstanding men and women. If you were not able to participate in the first welcome home we encourage you to participate in this happy event.  Spare a few hours this Friday and join us. There will be a flag line as these soldiers are reunited with their families, expect to hear joyous laughter and celebration. In this flag line, we'll let them know we’re happy to have them back with us and let their families know we appreciate their service.

Please be on time.  Important information will be provided in the briefing and we will be ksu immediately after the briefing.  Bring your 3x5 hand-held flags, extras to share if you have them.  As with all welcome homes, this mission is fluid and we may need to wait for our troops to arrive.  The order for the day will be Semper Gumby (always flexible).  A short wait time or a few hour investment on our part is nothing compared to the months these soldiers have spent away from their families and away from the country they love and serve.  Don’t let the weather keep you away, you may cage or ride for this mission.  If the rain starts early, we encourage you to cage.  There is room in the flag line for all.  We hope you can make it out and join us.
If you have mounted flags on your motorcycle, be sure your rig is secure and has been tested prior to this event.  All rigs will be inspected before departure.
The current weather forecast for Glen Burnie, MD, on Friday, March 16th is thunderstorms likely (60%) with a low of 55 and a high of 73.  Monitor the weather closely and dress appropriately.
We’ll see you on Friday.
