Spc. Wildrick, 30, died from wounds suffered in an IED explosion while supporting combat operations in Kunar Province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division. As an adult, Spc Wildrick adopted Woodsboro as his hometown.
This mission needs everyone, 2- and 4-wheel drivers. The three phases, spread over three days, test our ability to properly honor Spc. Wildrick’s sacrifice and to support his family, unit members and friends. Join in where you can. The essential mission components are fixed, but some details remain in flux (Semper Gumby). Check the national and MD PG sites for updates

•         Briefing: 1145
•         KSU: 1200 noon
•         ANC Burial service: 3:00pm. We will stand an honor line (no 3x5 flags in ANC)

-  Have a full tank of gas and pack snacks/drinks. There is no opportunity until the end of the burial service (approx. 4pm) for purchases.
-   4-wheels are welcome, and we will encourage car-pooling.
Cold weather riding: The ride to Arlington takes over an hour at highway speed, and there will be little/no chance to warm up until the end of the burial service, so know your limits--this is NOT the time to find them.

For all three days: We will cancel the motorcycles for any expectation of freezing precipitation. As usual, we will inspect any mounted flags for safety.

If you have any friends who have expressed an interest in what we do, the first two days present a perfect opportunity for them to help us properly honor Spc. Wildrick's service and sacrifice.
