The family of Spc. Lutes has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to stand in Honor of their loved one  for a Memorial service to be held in Westernport, MD, Saturday, December 18th.  Due to RC distance and availability, the great State of West Virginia has taken the lead on this for Maryland.

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Spc. David C. Lutes, 28, of Frostburg, Md., died Nov. 11 in Landstuhl, Germany, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device in Nangarhar province, Afghanistan, on Nov. 8.  He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 61st Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.


Our most heartfelt condolences goes out to the family of SPC Lutes.


We have made contact with the CAO.  Funeral Services will be held in New York.  There is the possibility of a Memorial Service in Westernport, so we will continue to stand by....
