Robert J. Bendix, US Army Korean War Veteran, Salisbury, Apr 22-23

National Condolence Thread

The Patriot Guard has been asked to stand the flag line and honor Robert J. Bendix, 80 of Salisbury, MD
Mr. Bendix served in the US Army’s First Army 7th infantry division 31st infantry regiment company “I” during the Korean War, and was a survivor of the battle at Chosin Reservoir, from November to December 1950, and served until 1952, reaching the rank of Sergeant First Class.
Mr. Bendix is also the father of one of our Eastern Shore PGR members – and veteran - Jim (usmpaden) Bendix.
Please join us in honoring the service and commitment of Bob Bendix.

Friday April 22: Visitation
RallyTime:    5:30pm  – to set up flag line from 6:00pm to 8:00pm,
Location:       Bounds Funeral Home, 705 East Main Street, Salisbury Maryland, 21804.
Weather:        Showers possible, high of 56

Saturday, April 23: Funeral and Interment

            Rally Time:   10:30am to set flag line. 
            Location     :  Bounds Funeral Home

Memorial service at 11:00am  followed by very short ride to Wicomico Memorial Park on 721 Snow Hill Road in Salisbury, Saturday April 23, 2011 at 1100.

Weather: Partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers, high 71

Please bring your 3 x 5 flags, and possibly rain gear.  If it is too wet to ride, please drive over and meet us to honor Mr. Bendix and his family by standing the flag line.
