PO1 Patrick D. Feeks, 28, Edgewater, 03, 04, 05 SEP

National Condolence Thread

  The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked to attend and render honors for Petty Officer 1st Class Patrick D. Feeks, 28, of Edgewater, MD who died August 16, 2012 in a helicopter crash northeast of Kandahar, Afghanistan along with six other service members.
He graduated from South River High School in 2002. Enlisted in the Navy in 2006 and then completed basic underwater demolition/SEAL training along with advanced training.  His life long dream was to become a Navy SEAL.  He accomplished his gaol and was assigned to the West Coast Special Warfare Unit.  Petty Officer Feeks was deployed to Iraq in 2008 and again in 2010.  His deployment to Afghanistan was in December 2011. Of the awards and decorations awarded to PO1 Feeks is the Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medal.  He is survived by his wife, parents and many loving friends.
This will be a 3 part mission.

KSU  1100 - Escort to Ft. Meyers Old Chapel, services followed by burial on the hallowed grounds of ANC (This portion will be LEO escorted)

You must have:
-government issued photo ID (eg. drivers license)
-DOT approved helmet
-Long sleeve shirt or jacket
-Full fingered gloves
-Over the ankle boots
-Have reflective gear available (in the event we are asked to wear it)
Check the weather for all 3 days prior to departure and dress accordingly.  Bring water to stay hydrated. When arriving for escort to ANC have a full tank of fuel.
