Naval Support Fun Day, Annapolis, 9 Aug

HOTH Event
Family Fun Day
Naval Support Facility, Annapolis, Maryland
9 August 2014
Once every year the Naval Support Facility honors the sailors and their families with a day of displays and family entertainment and, of course, seasonal food to thank them for their sevices and sacrifices. The Patriot Guard has been invited again this year to participate. So polish your ride and mount your flags to show it off and come out to enjoy the day with the Navy families.
        Mission requirements are:
1.      We have limited space so, I am limiting this event participation to only TWENTY bikes.  “Backsesaters” are welcome to increase people participation.
Please notify me ASAP if you wish to be part of the party.  The first twenty to respond win a place in the tent.
2.      Please clean your bike to show it off and bring that big flag on the back, if you have one.  (caution – kids will want to touch and maybe sit on your bike for family photos.) That is your call at the time.
3.      Please wear “family appropriate” patches and personal/bike decorations.
4.       We will be entering a military reservation so, full safety gear may be required.
Make sure you have helmet, eye protection, full sleeved top, long pants, over the ankle boots, full finger gloves, and reflective belt or vest (just in case).
Mission Time Line:
1.      0900 Saturday 9 August 2014 – Rally at the WWII memorial on RT 450 in Annapolis, MD  (near the stop light at the end of the Naval ACADEMY Bridge)
2.      0915 – KSU for short 1 mile ride to event location on the Navy Support Center.
3.      0930 – complete tent/booth set up stage bikes.
4.      1400 – Commence teardown prepare to depart.
5.      1415 – Depart and return to the WWII memorial for final brief and farewell.
Food and drink are available at the event (for a price).  It should be hot in August so plan accordingly.
Chairs will be at a premium.  If you have something to sit on – bring it if you wish.
