 National Condolence Thread
    It is with great sadness we have learned of the passing of Jon Jeffrey Brooks, 31, of Forestville, MD.  Mr. Brooks died on 2 October 2014 in his home, as a result of a heart ailment.  He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served from 2001 to 2004.  He saw combat in Iraq, and fought in battles for Mosul in 2004.  
    The family has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to show our appreciation and respect at his upcoming funeral, and we will be there, to stand tall silent and proud in honor of this American warrior, his family, friends and comrades at arms.

Funeral Service & Interment:
Rally Location:  Hughsville Baptist Church, 8505 Old Leonardtown Road, Hughsville, MD.
Rally Time: 0915
Briefing:      0930 hrs
Please arrive at the Rally Location fully fueled and ready to provide an escort.
We will be placing our flag line in time for the arrival of the family at 1000 hrs.  A viewing is scheduled to begin at 1000 hrs and end at 1100 hrs, at which time Funeral Services will begin.
Departure from the Church is scheduled for 1230 hrs.  PGR will then escort this hero, his family and friends to the Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Highway (Rt301) Cheltenham, MD for a 1400 Hrs interment.  We will render honors at the cemetery.
Iron Horses preferred, cages welcomed as always.  Mounted large flags rated for highway speeds preferred for the escort to Cheltenham.  Please bring your 3’x5’ US Flags for the flag line at the Church.   
Extended weather forecast for Cheltenham on Thursday calls for periods of rain early, with highs in the mid 70’s.  Please check the weather before departing for mission, and dress appropriately.
