James J. Gosnell, USA, Vietnam Vet, Glen Burnie, 9 Jun

It is with great sadness we note the passing of James Gosnell.  He was a Cobra Lead Gunner in Vietnam as well as a Military Policeman in Germany.  After leaving the military he was with the 114th Aviation Company Association locating MIA’s and KIA’s and notifying their families.

James’ son has asked the Patriot Guard Riders to help him lay his father to rest.

Funeral Service and Interment
Rally Location:  Singleton Funeral Home, 1 Second Ave, SW, Glen Burnie, MD
Rally Time:  1045-1100 hrs

We will place our flag lines for the funeral service that begins at 1130 hrs.  Immediately following services we will join the procession for a 1300 hrs scheduled interment at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.  Once at the cemetery we will again form our flag lines for military honors.   Please remember to bring your 3’x5’ US Flag on pole for the flag line.   Safely mounted large bike flags will be authorized.  Please check your mount and ensure it is safe for the procession.  Weather forecast for Thursday is mostly sunny, high of 99 degrees and low of 73.  Wear appropriate clothes for the heat and please remember to bring water to stay hydrated.

Our Vietnam veterans did not get the welcome home back then, that today we can provide our troops.  It is important to make sure now their families know that there is an organization out there, where ordinary Americans gather to ensure honor and respect are given.  Please join me in our last chance to pay tribute to one of Vietnam Vets.  Never again.
