 HOTH Mission – Honor Flight,
D-Day Veterans,
Baltimore, MD, 07 JUN 14

The PGR has been invited to a special Honor Mission which is being sponsored by the Honor Flight Network that will bring 60 D-Day WWII Veterans from Southeast Florida through BWI Airport on the way to visit their Memorial in Washington, DC.  We have been asked to provide a flag line at the airport for their arrival in the morning and again for their departure in the late afternoon.  This will be a flag line only mission at the airport, and does not involve an escort.  There is another flag line for the arrival of the Veterans in DC and those wishing to participate there should follow the instructions in the thread for that mission.

Again, there are no amenities or facilities at the Rally point.  Please be topped off and ready to roll on arrival at the Rally Point.  We will be parking in the hourly parking lot at the airport, so you will need to pay for parking at the time of departure.

If you cannot attend both legs of this mission, consider coming out for either one of them.  Please make every effort to honor and pay tribute to these members of the Greatest Generation and thank them for the freedom we enjoy today.  Let’s show these Veterans how much we appreciate the sacrifices they made for us.

The weather forecast for Saturday is sunny with a high of 84 degrees and no chance for rain.  Dress appropriately for the weather and stay hydrated.  Bike or cage, it does not matter how you get there when standing in the flag line.  In fact, from previous experience at BWI, it is easier to park a cage than a bike in the hourly garage.
