Fallen PGR

John E. Fabian III, Firefighter, MDNG Vet, PGR, Pasadena, 18 Sep 2010

Patriot Guard Riders!

It is with deep sadness we pass on the news that John Fabian III, was killed in a motorcycle crash on 9/11/2010.  John was only 34 years old, but lived large every minute of it.  He was a volunteer firefighter for three different departments and one of three area residents to travel to New York city to help in the aftermath of 9/11/01.  He was also a veteran of the MD National Guard.  He was very active as a life member of the Sons of the American Legion, MD&VA VTX Motorcycle Club, MD XILES motorcycle club and also a member of the Red Knights.  In amongst all of this he was also a dedicated Patriot Guard Rider.

John’s family has asked us to pay our respects at his funeral services on Saturday, 18 Sep 2010.  We have been invited to proceed with a large motorcycle contingent made up of MCs, friends and PGR.  Anyone who will cage to this mission or would prefer not to ride in the large procession, please see the final location and time for rally.  The first portion is a motorcycle/apparatus procession lead by John’s father.

Parking may be an issue but the area has several large lots close.  The bike contingent should already be in place by 1845 hrs, so an RC should be available to help with parking issues.

Safely bike mounted 3x5 US flags will be used for the procession.  Please bring your 3x5 US Flags on pole for the flag line.  We will be posting a flag line for the 1900 hrs viewing and the 2000 hrs Funeral Service.  There will be no follow on procession as interment will be private.

Weather Saturday will be Sunny, high of 81 degrees and low of 62 degrees.  Please dress appropriately for the weather it will be chillier leaving than arriving.  This is a Saturday evening mission so a great opportunity for those who cannot attend weekday missions.  Please join us.

Thanks for all you do.
