PFC Edwin "Ed" (Dumm) Dunn, USA, Vet. (Korea), Edgewater, MD - 27 Oct 2010

This is the final itinerary for the Patriot Guard Mission to honor PFC Edwin “Ed” L. (Dumm) Dunn, USA, Vet. (Korea), Edgewater, MD, who passed away October 18, 2010.  It is a go, all contacts have been made.  Services will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, Annapolis, MD, Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at approximately 0900 hrs.

 

PFC Dunn was born May 9, 1929, in Pennsylvania.  He served in Korea from 1951 to 1953 and was honorably discharged in 1959.

 

He was the owner and operator of Dumm’s Corner Market in Riverdale, MD, for 32 years until he retired in 1985.  He received an Award of Honor from the United Family Organization for his many contributions, time, talent, and treasury, for the aid of abused children.  He was a member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Elks Lodge of College Park, the American Legion of Mayo, and a life member of the Moose since 1969.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Rosa Dumm, whom he married in 1958; and two daughters, Debra Ann Perkins and Florence Marie Dumm.

 

His is survived by three children, Edwin P. Dunn of Lanham; Juanita Stevens of Kennesaw, GA; and Mary L. Brooks of Bowie; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Please bring 3x5 hand-held flags for the flag line at the church and the cemetery.  We will participate in the procession to the cemetery approximately 30 miles away.  If you have 3x5 flag(s) mounted on your motorcycle, be sure to test your mount prior to arriving at the funeral home.  Part of the procession route will take us on Route 50 and we will be at or near highway speeds.  All rigs will be inspected before KSU.
