National Condolence Thread

Patriot Guard Riders.

The ranks of our Greatest Generation have gotten a little thinner.  Donnan T. Faecke served in the U.S. Army BTRY 547th AAA AW BN 1943-1946. He was a World War II veteran, a recipient of two Bronze Stars serving under Gen. Patton.  Sadly he passed away Nov. 15, 2010, in Littleton NC.  A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, 12 Mar 2011 and the family has asked the Patriot Guard Riders to stand in honor of him.

Our heartfelt condolences to the family.

Saturday, 12 Mar
Rally Point:  St. John's Evangelist Catholic Church, 114 E. 2nd St., Frederick, MD 21701
Rally Time:  1245-1315 hrs

We will be placing our flag lines for the arrival of the family and mourners.  Service will start at 1400 hrs.  There is no follow-on interment, this will be a flag line mission only.  Please remember to bring your 3'x5' US Flag on a pole for the flag line.

Weather for Frederick on Saturday is forecast for partly cloudy with a high of 58 degrees.  Dress appropriately for the weather and your ride.  Cage or bike!

We have had many new Riders sign up in the last two weeks.  This is a golden opportunity for PGR who have to work during the week, to stand and pay their respects for those who served for us.  While many have signed up because of outrage at recent media articles, THIS is what we do.  Show our sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities
