This is a Confirmed Mission Plan.

Chief Petty Officer William David Adkins Sr, 74, US Coast Guard Retired, of Charlotte Hall, MD, died 7 January 2013.  Mr. Adkins served in the United States Army.  Stationed in Germany, he worked in Radio Communications during the Cold War.  He then joined the Coast Guard.  There he was instrumental in development of communications/computer systems.  His assignments included Galveston, Texas, Mt. Edgecombe, Alaska, Sitka, Alaska and Washington, DC.  He retired in 1980.  After retirement he and his family moved to Knoxville, Tennessee where he continued working for many more years with Associated Laboratories.  The family returned to Maryland in 2006.
A Visitation and Memorial Service will be conducted on 11 January 2013, from 12 Noon until 2 PM, at the Raymond Funeral Home, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646.  Burial will be private and held at a later date.  

PGR has been invited to attend the Visitation and Memorial Service.   We will be there to stand tall silent and proud in honor of this American Hero, his family, friends and comrades at arms.
