The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in honor of Capt. Gregory A. Hamilton, 42, Paramedic/Firefighter, Denton, MD. He was taken from us in a motorcycle accident on April 12, 2011 after completing his duty shift in Delmar, DE. Lt. Hamilton was a career flight paramedic with MedStar MedEvac, a part time paramedic at the Goodwill Fire Co. in Centreville, MD, and at the Delmar Fire Co., in Delmar, DE. He was an EMS Capt. at the Queen Anne-Hillsborough VFC, in Queen Annes Co., MD, and a member of the Maryland Red Knights, Chapter 2, Easton, MD.

   

Greg's love for motorcycles was only surpassed by his unselfish willingness to help others in need. It's now time for us to help him by showing our appreciation for his devotion and dedication. He will receive full Fire Department Honors.

We will rally at the funeral home for both viewings on April 19th. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to viewing times. We will also rally at the funeral home on April 20th at 9:00 am for an approximately 15 mile, Fire Department escort to the church where we will stand the flag line until the completion of the Mass. There will be no interment. Please bring your hand held 3x5 flags for the flag lines at the funeral home and church and SECURELY MOUNTED 3x5 flag for the escort. We will see highway speeds. Under no circumstances are collapsible flag poles allowed as escort flags. Kickstand supports may be needed in case we need to park in the grass during the viewings. A large crowd is anticipated both days. Please dress accordingly, pre-hydrate, and bring water. The weather forecast for Tuesday is partly sunny, 30% chance of rain, low 70's. Wednesday is possible rain in the am with thunderstorm chances 30% later, upper 70's.
