We regretfully announce the passing of LCDR Brian A. McArdle, 53, US Navy Reserve Veteran, and US Merchant Marine. LCDR McArdle passed away on Sunday, 23MAY10, after a long illness. After 4 years of Naval Reserve service, he served as an Engineer in the US Merchant Marines, and was contracted by the US Navy. He became a respected instructor at the Calhoon MEBA Engineering School in Easton, MD, and was until the time of his passing.  His dedication to his family and country was unsurpassed. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, students, and faculty.

The Patriot Guard has been requested to stand in honor of this fine American serviceman and marine engineer, who left us too soon. LCDR McArdle will be transported to his hometown of Lowell, MA where a viewing, Memorial Service, and burial will carry him to his final resting place.

Please bring your 3X5 flag for the Honor Line. A securely mounted parade flag may be deployed for the short trip to the funeral home. Speeds not to exceed 35 mph. As usual, please be hydrated and dress appropriately. Weather forecast calls for mostly sunny, mid 70's, becoming partly cloudy to clear, mid 60's in the evening. Cages are always an option.
