1st Lt William Donnelly IV, 12/14 Dec

1st Lt. William Donnelly IV gave all on Nov. 25 while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.  The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited very late in the process to stand for Lt Donnelly IV.  This is one of our Fallen Heroes who deserves our dropping what we are doing and paying our respects.

This is a two part/two day Mission in two States.

The current weather forecast for Springfield, VA, on Sunday, December 12th is rain (100%) with a high of 44 degrees; low of 29 degrees.  Rain/snow mix expected after 2200.  Dress accordingly.   Do not let the rain keep you away, cage to the mission.  There should be time to get home before the rain/snow mix begins.  Bring 3 x 5 hand-held flags for this mission.

Weather for Tuesday is Partly Cloudy/Windy, high of 31 low of 22.  Cage or Scoot, dress in layers for the weather it will be cold.  Remember safety first!  We will be setting up a flag line outside the USNA Chapel for services.  Immediately upon completion we will fall into the procession to Arlington National Cemetery for interment with Full Military Honors.  Don’t forget your 3x5 US Flags for the flag line. 

Please remember that our mission is to respect and honor this fallen soldier and his family.  Stand tall and proud as we salute this hero and his family for their great sacrifice!!!
